Where Greek Cooking keeps its roots.

Where Greek Cooking keeps its roots.

At Acropolis, the menu follows the kind of rhythm found across a Greek table — grilled meats, warm pita, lemon over everything that needs brightness, oregano where it belongs, and dishes prepared with enough restraint to let each ingredient hold its own place. Gyros turn slowly, souvlaki comes off the grill with purpose, and familiar plates arrive the way regulars expect them to.

Oh my gosh!!! Stumbled upon this gem while traveling in Biloxi MS for a training and am i glad that I did!! The food was fresh and delicious. I started with the fried zucchini, which was served with Taziki sauce.... and it was served hot and fresh. Then we had the Spartan gyro. It was large enough for me to share ... after the healthy portion of fried zucchini. The gyro was definitely one of the best that I've ever had. The lamb was fresh and juicy, not dried out. The bread was soft and fluffy....a perfect match to the succulent lamb. The service team/ staff were friendly and professional and very accommodating. We even got to meet John, the owner, who chatted us up a bit. The bathroom was clean and presentable... definitely a plus. They're closed on Sundays.... so I'll be going back for another helping for dinner... it was just that good!!!

We tried Acropolis Saturday. My wife loves Mediterranean food and I'm not a big fan lol but I think Acropolis has changed my mind. They have authentic Greek dishes that have to be made by someone who really cares about putting out really good dishes. Everything we had was amazing. Hummus was different than any ... hummus I've ever had and it was the best I've ever had. Salad was so fresh! I had the tour of Greece so I could try a little bit of everything. All of it was so good I don't know what my favorite part was. Some of the dishes on the tour I had never had before. I've been missing out. Our waitress Kristen was awesome throughout the whole experience. Hopefully next time I'll save room for dessert. They all looked so good but there was no way I could eat another bite. We took enough home to enjoy it and get stuffed again. You definitely should give this place a try even if you're not into Greek food.

We had an amazing dining experience at Acropolis Greek Restaurant in Biloxi, MS. The food was absolutely delicious, my Spanakopita was flaky and flavorful, and my wife’s Gyro plate was packed with tender, savory meat. The hummus was incredibly smooth and tasty, perfect with the warm pita. We finished with a piece of ... baklava that was the perfect sweet ending. The wait staff was kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We’re definitely going back to try something different. 🥰🤙

Friends told us about a new Greek restaurant, Acropolis, in Biloxi, MS so on a recent trip there we decided to try it for dinner. We were not disappointed. The owners, chef John and wife, Debby greeted us warmly. The intimate setting in true Greek decor reminded us of a trip to Mykonos. Our server, Vicki, was ... personable and helpful. The food was truly authentic. We started with Dolmadakia, hummus, tzatziki with pita, Keftedes ( Greek meatballs) followed by a Greek salad. Two of us chose the Tour of Greece ( a sample of Moussaka, beef and lamb Gyros, Spanakopita and chicken Souvlaki, another chose Spanakopita and the other enjoyed the broiled Red Snapper. The meal was plentiful, beautifully plated and delicious. Desserts of caramel/ sea salt cheese cake, blueberry cheese cake , regular cheese cake and Baklava topped off the meal. It was an epicurean experience that should not be missed. We look forward to a return to the Acropolis at 871 Howard Ave in Biloxi, MS.

The atmosphere was quite welcoming. Perfect mix of the Historic charm of the building with unique Greek details & decor throughout! Our server, Kristin was absolutely amazing. Very informative and happy to answer any questions we had. We ordered an appetizer, entrée and added a salad. Everything we ate was amazing and ... we both left with go boxes. I’m very happy to have found this hidden gem.
